The search for truth

"This is new, this is the new word, a new bible!"

He was so proud that he found a new word in old skid row.

This man had come from Cuba 15 years ago, and has been stuck on skid row since. "...Take my picture, please...let me tell my story"

We were rolling camera for the documentary movie, and it was just a regular Sunday on the row. Hundreds of homeless, drug addled humans were wasting away in the in the blazing hot end of summer sun.

The Skid Row bus had just pulled up to take a load of humans to get showered, feed and rested... When a guy walks up and in a excited tone exclaims..." Take my picture please let me tell the story of my new bible, I can make it out of skid row now, this is the new word..."

Skid Row | Portrait is about humanity stuck in squlor, they lack hope, economics, care. Most often, race and injustice are the focal points of their story of life in this great Americana.
